I was born and raised in Harlan, KY. While growing up I loved music, and I knew that what ever I did it would involve music. As a young child I was very interested in the piano, but shied away from it, because it seemed to me that every piano I came across was out of tune. I guess that was the foundation being laid that brought me to this profession. I learned to play the guitar, mandolin, and many other string instruments, along with most brass and woodwind instruments. I had my first public performance at the age of ten, and I went on to work as a performance and studio musician for several years. In 2004 I met a local piano technician and I took an interest in his work. I began mentoring with him and eventually mastered the art of piano tuning. After a couple of years of tuning and piano repairs I decided to learn more about the rebuilding aspect of piano technology. I attended The Emil Fries School of Piano Technology, one of only two accredited institutions for piano technology in the US. There I expanded my knowledge in all things piano. This has made me the only technician in the Las Vegas metro area to have graduated from an accredited institution specializing in piano technology. After graduating I passed a series of test with the Piano Technicians Guild to become a RPT (Registered Piano Technician) member. Currently Registered Piano Technician status is the highest achievable ranking available in the United States, and since you are not required to be licensed as a piano technician in the United States, it is the only way to prove your credibility.
I have had the pleasure of working for some of the greatest pianists in the world, and look forward to serving you and your piano's needs.
